Uppada saree is a saree style woven in Uppada of East Godavari District in Andhra Pradesh. These sarees are also known as Uppada Pattu (Silk in Telugu), and are made by the traditional Jamdani method used for Dhakai Sarees of Bangladesh. Uppada Silk sarees are defined by the length and breadth count of threads. The weavers also use pure zari for the elaborate and exquisite designs.
