Gota Patti or Gota-Kinari work is a distinctive embroidery which originates from the royal state of Rajasthan. This art has been there since the time of the Mughals and we see that even today many brides choose gota patti as part of their trousseau because of its contemporary appeal. Its an appliqué technique is done to get the end result of the delicate embroidery. Small pieces of Zari, mostly in gold, silver, or copper is sewed down to the fabric to get intricate designs.
